Remembering my trip to New York last year. What an inspiring trip. We saw so many wonderful art pieces, including this Banksy piece, that challenge the status-quo, that make the viewer ask important questions, that show unseen or even purposely hidden perspectives.
The painting above by De Chirico depicts Ariadne's Dream. Standing there in the Met this last week staring at this painting awakened my own dream. I had seen this painting in a class that I took last year in college, and though I don't remember the discussion surrounding this particular piece, I DO remember how it made me feel. A certain longing. For me, longing for a discovery of my tribe, my place in life, my optimal career. Looking at this painting again reminded me that my dream or this longing is still alive.
A fantastic piece of photography that hangs in Estee Lauder's corporate offices. It depicts the same woman in two very different life scenarios, and the viewer is set to wonder which one is real. Makes me wonder which one she longs for.

I love that you don't just "see" art....you feel it!
